The 2011 Los Angeles County Weed Management Area Small Grants Program awards up to $1500 for small-scale invasive plant mapping and/or control projects.

Proposals for this round of funding must be submitted by May 3, 2011. Recipients will be notified of their award by May 10, 2011 and should be able to start work by May 16, 2011. All work is to be completed by November 30, 2011. Due to limited funding applicants are encouraged to apply now for work to be conducted at any time in 2011. Additional requests for proposals will be made if all funds are not awarded in this first call. Project managers will be required to submit quarterly progress reports until project is completed. We encourage presenting progress reports in person at quarterly LA County Weed Management Area meetings. Final written reports with photo documentation are required before final reimbursements will be issued.
